The 33rd edition of the Giro Rosa starts on Friday 1 July and the finish is scheduled on Sunday the 10th. First held in 1988, it was the most important road race for women for years. Fabiana Luberini and Anna van der Breggen are record holder with four wins.

Anna van der Breggen is both record and title holder. Last year, her team mates Ashleigh Moolman and Demi Vollering flanked her on the podium.
