About Pip Taylor

As a former professional athlete, highly credentialed Sports Performance Dietitian, acclaimed author and presenter, Pip possesses a unique skillset that gives her credibility, authenticity and expertise in any high performance arena.

Her journey as a professional athlete saw her compete at the highest level for over 15 years – reaching the World Number One ranking; racing in multiple Australian elite teams; and having wins from ITU World Cup through to Ironman 70.3 events.

Both sporting and professional careers have seen Pip work, train, learn from and help educate athletes, coaches, and specialists from various backgrounds and across different sports. Pip has a deep understanding of the different demands and pressures of elite sport, but also an ability to understand how the unique skillsets honed in elite sport can be translated across into other areas of life.

Her expertise is grounded in science – Pip recently co-authored the latest gut microbiome study in elite athletes to date, investigating links between gut bacteria, diet and health and performance – and her performance advice bridges the gap between emerging science and practical. With extensive media work as a Contributing Editor feature writer, and across print, digital, TV and podcast/live radio, Pip is sought after presenter and educator, with an ability to engage and educate audiences, bringing insight into high performance, linking diet to physical, cognitive and mental health and wellbeing, and imparting a genuine love of food.
